Job title: ccountant - Part time

Job Location: 18530 Prospect Drive, Melvindale, MI 48122

Work schedule : 25-40 hours a week

Job length: 6 months - could go longer

Job Description:

1. Prepare and process journal entries as necessary to record or correct Mel-NAP financial transactions
2. Reconcile Balance Sheet and Operating accounts in the General Ledger
3. ssist with benefit management
4. ssist in timely payroll reporting and tax payments to various agencies
5. ssist in Grant Management within the district including in depth monthly transaction analysis and reporting
6. Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations
7. ctively participate in the end of year financial book closing process, accruals, audit prep and other transactions necessary to reflect the financial status of the organization
8. ssist and participate with district auditors
9. ssist in procurement card transactions and reconciliations
10. Prepare and Update transparency reports as required by the State of Michigan
11. ssist with purchase order creations
12. ssist with AOP reporting for State of Michigan
13. Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:



Job Education and Experience:
Minimum of Associates in Business Administration/Accounting or Commensurate experience of accounting work for 5 years or more
School Accounting or non for profit experience preferred



Other: Will have to have a Criminal background check
