Description We're searching for an experienced assistant general manager to help our general manager plan and oversee the hotel's day-to-day operations. When the general manager is unavailable, you will be in charge of supervising personnel, dealing with client problems, and ensuring that our customers enjoy a 5-star experience.

Responsibilities •Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive friendly courteous and service-oriented manner.
•Be in the public areas during peak times greeting guests and offering assistance as needed.
•Participate in required M.O.D. coverage as scheduled. This position will be a second shift Tuesday through Saturday schedule. Ability to work weekends, nights, and Holidays.
•Provide guidance and oversight of the Food & Beverage Operation which includes outlets and 5,000sq ft. of event space.
•Direct and oversee the daily activities of the FOH & BOH Staff.
•Maintain Food and Beverage cost controls to maximize profitability and ensure appropriate F&B quality and performance metrics are met.
•Recommend improvements that will improve the hotel profitability by analyzing department performance and identifying problem areas
•Create the yearly hotel budget in collaboration with the general manager and department heads, and assess and adjust performance throughout the year to stay profitable
•Facilitates management of the hotel's human resources functions, such as HR administration, turnover control, staff motivation, and employee development and retention
•Ensure that all local, state, and federal rules and regulations, as well as any corporate or brand-established policies and practices, are followed
•Support the general manager in the daily operation of the hotel to ensure that all guest service standards are met
Qualifications •Strong Food and Beverage department experience preferred.
•This position requires a high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor's degree with preference given to those with a hospitality management degree
•3+ years of experience working in a hotel or the hospitality industry required
•Possess excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills
•You must have previous experience in a manager role overseeing a team, preferably in a hospitality role
