The Deposit Services Assistant Manager will provide management assistance and leadership to a team of Deposit Services Account Agents, Account Advisors, and Account Auditors. They will focus on the execution of enterprise and department procedures, policy and project commitments at all levels as it pertains to the oversight of the account management lifecycle. This includes onboarding and servicing functions that support Delta Community's retail and commercial account portfolios.
Deposit Services Assistant Manager will assume all managerial duties and responsibilities of Deposit Services when the department Manager is unavailable. They will ensure annual compliance requirements are met and daily credit union policies and procedures are followed. The Deposit Services Assistant Manager is responsible for guiding, coaching and mentoring all team members in the area of deposit account onboarding and servicing using various channels to provide superior operational performance, as well as coach and develop direct reports including writing performance reviews according to outlined metrics and production schedules. The Assistant Manager will ensure departmental operational and production initiatives support corporate and departmental goals. The Assistant Manager will be the first point of contact for escalated member service issues and service interruptions. They will identify operational inefficiencies and work with leadership in recommending options and solutions that provide long term sustainable results.
The Assistant Manager will develop both strategic and tactical plans that focus on strong operational performance and superior service. They will ensure operational integrity is met on a daily basis. The Assistant Manager will provide operational support to the Deposit Services Operations Specialist as directed by leadership.
Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Essential Functions: •Provide daily operational support to the Deposit Services department to ensure initiatives are met to support corporate goals and strategies which will at times include Assistant Manager performing operational tasks
•Provide support for all depository channels for deposit onboarding and servicing as to products and services
•Provide a positive, professional and approachable demeanor at all levels within the organization
•Provide strong operational support to the Deposit Services Operations Specialist and Leadership on a daily basis
•Provide project support to all deposit portfolio initiatives, projects and strategies as assigned by leadership
•Provide professional communication with all internal and external customers to support depository channels, depository products, and depository service standards at all times
•Support Deposit Services' leadership with production initiatives and performance metrics for staff as assigned by leadership
•Perform routine coaching and mentoring to ensure performance standards are met within the stated performance metrics
•Perform performance evaluations within the stated performance metrics and guidelines
•Must have strong organizational skills that promote results in a fast-paced environment
•Must demonstrate complex problem solving and conflict resolution skills that require little to no oversight or direction to meet the objectives of the organization
•Must demonstrate ability to work through change and ambiguity to deliver on objectives at all times
•Must demonstrate a positive professional attitude with a high level of integrity and ethical standards
•Proficient in the use of office productivity technology, such as Microsoft Office, Word, Advanced Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
•Excellent ability to resolve errors and provide resolutions relative to escalated member account issues with little to no oversight or supervision

Required Minimum Qualifications: •High School diploma or equivalent
•5+ years' member/customer service experience in a credit union or financial services industry
•Ability to build, foster, and maintain positive professional relationships within an organization
•Must demonstrate the ability to lead, coach, and mentor others
•Must have strong professional presentation skills
•Must demonstrate strong analytical skills as to risk assessment for membership onboarding and product management for fraud reduction and share loss prevention
•Must possess strong, confident, verbal and written communication skills to support communication channels at all levels of an organization in a professional manner
•Successful candidate should possess the following competencies: Creativity and Innovation, Decision Making, Interactive Communication, Relationship Building, and Results Management
•Complies with all Credit Union policy and procedures including those related to the Bank Secrecy Act regulations
Preferred Qualifications: •Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field
•Strong Excel Skills to include V-Lookup and Graphing
•Retail and Commercial account regulatory experience as to probate and estate accounts
•Experience working with call routing strategies
•Working knowledge of Symitar, Akcelerant (Temenos) and Microstrategy environments
•Bilingual
