Job Description

Aquionix, Inc. (Aquionix) provides environmental, health and safety consulting services to a variety of business sectors such as mining, oil and gas, manufacturing and general industry. We are seeking an ambitious individual to join our Denver, Colorado office.

The primary focus for this position will be on environmental compliance and will include:

•  General regulatory compliance assistance related to the CWA, RCRA, SPCC/FRP, EPCRA, CERCLA, UIC, CAA and related interpretation, research, regulatory liaison and reporting requirements
• Drafting stormwater management plans, SPCC plans, providing support/review of waste program/plan development
• Project management for several smaller clients, including invoice review and proposal development

 

Secondary focus for this position will include:

• Regulatory compliance auditing
• Water sample collection, treatment, distribution (industrial wastewater, groundwater, surface water, drinking water and/or domestic wastewater)
• Review, audit, development and/or improvement of Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001), Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001) and Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001)

Education : A bachelor’s degree in environmental, health and safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, science or a related technical field is required.

Experience : The successful candidate will have 0 - 3 years of applicable experience in the field of environmental compliance. The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

The preferred candidate will also have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Reclamation (permitting)
• Surface and underground mining activities
• Oil and gas exploration and development
• Food and beverage industry
• General industry/manufacturing

The successful candidate must pass a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening prior to employment.
