In partnership with the US Fish & Wildlife Service, MobilizeGreen seeks conservation-minded Engineering Fellow who wants to gain experienceas a general, civil, geotechnical, hydraulic, structural, environmentalengineer, in construction management, and/or as an engineering technicianat theUpperMississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refugein Winona, MN.
Location: Winona, MN
Term: 26weeks (6months), Full-Time (40 hours per week), on-site position. The fellowship eligible for extension up to 3 years (36 months).
Anticipated Start Date: End of June 2025

Position Duties:
- Performs trainee level engineering analyses associated with segments of engineering, physical science,planning or environmental protection assignments to include technical planning activities; datacollection; modeling and data analyses; analyses of site location and/or conditions; and analyses ofinstrumentation data. Analysis assignments may involve trainee level assignments in one or morespecialty areas. Gains professional knowledge of, and skills in applying, basic theories, concepts,principles, and methodology for area of practice in order to accomplish developmental engineeringassignments using basic techniques, procedures, and methods; carry out, interpret, and explain basiccomputations and calculations; and convey findings.
- Completes limited engineering designs in a developmental capacity with knowledge of and skill inapplying basic theories, concepts, principles, and methodology for field of practice to accomplishdevelopmental engineering assignments using basic techniques, procedures and methods.
- Participates in and performs developmental tasks associated with facility examinations, reviews, andconstruction inspections.
- Performs developmental assignments and tasks associated with any of the following: projectmanagement; administration of contracts and agreements; compliance; construction inspections, anddatabase operation. Apply common qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques and commonproject management principles, methods, tools, and techniques. Uses computers and softwareapplications.

- Ability to effectively convey information to individuals or groups, taking into account the natureof the information (e.g., technical).
- Outreach:
- Involved in activities with contractors and the general public.
Eligibility:
- Earned or pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree incivil, general, geotechnical,hydraulic, structural, or environmental engineering.
- May have an interest in pursuing a Professional Engineer license.
- Possesses basic oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn efficiently and put new skills into practice.
- Ability to effectively convey information to individuals or groups, taking into account the natureof the information (e.g., technical).
- Ability to work well independently (self-motivated) and as part of a team.
- Curious and passionate about engineering, construction management, planning, andenvironmental protection in the conservation world.
