Summer Finance Intern
Location: BGI Corporate Office – Mesa, Arizona
Internship Type: Seasonal | Part-time | 10 weeks | 20 hours/week
Compensation: $18–$20/hour
Worker Category: Seasonal Part-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

Position Overview:

BGI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Finance Intern to join our Corporate Finance team for a 10-week part-time internship. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate finance operations while contributing to the financial success of a growing company. This internship is ideal for high school seniors, college students, or recent graduates interested in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with payroll processing and support payroll audits
• Organize and review financial records, invoices, and expense reports
• Support monthly budget tracking and financial reporting
• Learn and assist with account reconciliation and data accuracy
• Shadow the Finance team during financial closeouts and reporting cycles
• Gain exposure to financial systems and tools used in daily operations

Essential Skills

• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while balancing academic responsibilities and internship duties.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey financial insights clearly.
• Tech Proficiency: Comfortable learning and navigating financial software, Microsoft suite, and other data management tools.
• Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying discrepancies or inefficiencies and contributing to process improvements.
• Professionalism: Demonstrates a proactive attitude, punctuality, and a willingness to take initiative in a corporate environment.
• Adaptability: Open to feedback and able to adjust quickly in a dynamic team setting.

Qualifications

• College student or recent graduate pursuing Finance, Accounting, or a Business-related field
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers and spreadsheets
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle confidential information
• Dependable, curious, and eager to learn how finance supports a growing organization
