Job Description SmartHire has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager for a client in South Seattle. You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in MD/HD commercial fleet maintenance, strong leadership and communication skills, a Class A or B WA State license and be insurable. Salary $110k - $150k annually DOE Benefits Medical/Dental/Vision on the first of the month following hire. ESOP (Profit Sharing) and 401(k). Paid vacations, paid holidays. Shift Monday – Friday 6am - 4:30pm with rotating Saturdays 7:00am - 12:00pm. Job Summary: This role oversees the maintenance operations of the fleet, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and safety. It includes managing staff, coordinating repairs, maintaining records, and optimizing costs. Supervise Maintenance Operations: Manage day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure fleet safety and reliability. Staff Management: Lead, train, and evaluate maintenance personnel; ensure adherence to company policies. Inter-Department Collaboration: Communication with transportation department to align fleet readiness with business needs. Compliance: Ensure all vehicles meet safety and operational standards. Budget Management: Monitor repair costs, approve expenses, and control inventory. Vendor Coordination: Establish relationships with suppliers for parts and service. Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports. Performance Monitoring: Track fleet performance metrics and implement improvements. Process Standardization and Support: Develop and implement standardized maintenance procedures across locations, providing support to teams in other areas as needed. About you: 5 years’ experience in MD/HD commercial fleet maintenance Strong leadership and communication skills Knowledge of compliance regulations Budgeting and cost control experience Strong computer skills.
