What is the Graduate Nurse Rotational Program (GNRP)?

We are excited to announce that we are NOW HIRING Graduate Nurses as full-time Staff Nurses to support various hospital units through our unique Rotational Program. Previous participants have enjoyed rotations in:

• 5 East Acute Care & Trauma Medical/Surgical
• 7 East Medical/Surgical with a focus on Oncology and Neuro patients
• Total Joint Unit focusing on Orthopedic surgery patients

Each rotation lasts for 4 months, giving you a well-rounded experience!

What Does Placement Look Like Post-GNRP?

Upon completing the GNRP, placements will be determined based on your preferences, hiring manager preferences, and business needs through a collaborative matching process. You will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary based on your experience and education.

Shift/Hours:

Our RNs work a rotating 12-hour schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage on the floor.

Qualifications:

Graduate Nurses are encouraged to apply. You must be eligible for State Board Licensure and successfully pass the examination before starting this role.

• BSN Preferred
• Completion of UPMC Student Nurse Internship Program or student clinical transitions course at UPMC preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for patients of all ages.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities related to patient care.
• Good clinical judgment and the ability to lead others in applying the nursing process.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse required prior to program start date.
• CPR certification based on AHA standards required within 30 days of hire.
• Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 Clearances.
• Basic Life Support certification.
