The warehouse offers a wide selection of HVAC products available on demand, including grilles, registers, diffusers, terminal units, variable frequency drives, motor starters, vibration isolation, flexible duct, spiral pipe and fittings, low-pressure pipe and fittings, curbs and equipment supports, pipe portal assemblies, manual balance valves, access doors, in-line, ceiling, and roof fans, gravity ventilators, fire dampers, installation hardware, duct sealer, tape, screws, and flexible pump connectors. Customers can shop these stock products online and choose to pick up their orders in Troy or have them shipped directly to their job sites.

What the Role Entails

The Project Manager at Michigan Air Products will be responsible for managing HVAC projects from start to finish, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed on time and within budget. This includes generating submittals, coordinating with internal teams, managing project emails, and providing exceptional service to customers. The role requires a solid understanding of HVAC systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing project schedules and design changes. The Project Manager will also contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and play an active role in the professional development of the team.

Performance Objectives:

30 Days – Getting Comfortable with Culture and Learning the Basics

• Get acclimated with the company culture, file structure, and workflows.
• Familiarize yourself with the company's values, processes, and internal tools.
• Complete all training videos to understand the standard procedures and workflows.
• Begin to understand the expectations for the role and take the initial steps toward learning the necessary software and systems.

60 Days – Support and Understanding the Bigger Picture

• Deepen knowledge of the role and how it fits into the broader organizational structure.
• Work alongside your Lead to understand the long-term support capabilities and how the role integrates with larger projects.
• Solidify understanding of the manufacturing software tools and begin applying them more independently.
• Continue learning through training videos and additional manufacturing-specific training programs.

90 Days – Independent Execution and Oversight

• Transition to managing smaller projects with general oversight and start handling submittals and pricing materials independently.
• Manage and oversee smaller projects, demonstrating the ability to complete tasks with minimal guidance.
• Take ownership of your submittals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness with general oversight.
• Price materials and manage resources, making decisions based on your understanding of manufacturing requirements and company expectations.
