Job Summary:

In this role, the Internal Communications Specialist is an initiative-taking and creative professional who oversees and executes the internal communication strategy to support and help drive the company’s growth plans, purpose, strategy, and culture. The individual in this role collaborates with senior management, marketing, people & culture, and other cross-functional teams to manage internal communications projects from initiation through delivery and measurement. The Communications Specialist is the resident writer for internal communications to ensure materials are effective and consistent with SEKISUI KYDEX brand standards. 

This communications role helps to connect SLT initiatives and messages with the rest of the company. In addition, this role is focused on efforts to engage and inform employees about company strategy, policies, changes, and initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Research, outline, write, edit, and proofread all official internal communications to ensure they are on-brand and consistent in style, quality, format, tone, and voice. 

· Lead the development of communication assets, including company-wide emails, Intranet content, digital display screens, quarterly newsletters, and key messaging for SLT and managers. 

· Develop and manage the internal communications editorial calendar by soliciting project success stories, community engagement, safety, and other noteworthy events. 

· Schedule and prepare for all executive and corporate meetings, including catering, logistics, meeting facilitation, document preparation, and scribing minutes as needed 

· Create systems and tools to deliver messaging to diverse audiences in production and production support.

· Filter communication, make scheduling decisions, and direct employees to resources.

· Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure internal communications and external communications alignment. 

· Collaborate with People & Culture to create and edit materials, including job descriptions, procedure manuals, internal and external job postings, organizational change announcements, new hire memos, and the organization chart. 

· Collaborate with Business Development and Customer Collaboration Manager to create event/meeting presentations. 

· Assist with tracking KPIs for company profit sharing

· Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in English or Communications with 2 years of related experience. 

· Equivalent experience of at least 5 years in related role progression in lieu of a degree.

· Write professionally and in the appropriate voice as SEKISUI KYDEX, the President & CEO, SLT members, and other audiences and mediums while consistently meeting tight deadlines.

· Exacting proofreading skills. 

· Demonstrated experience using modern technologies in support of communications. 

· Excellent attention to detail and solid project, time management, and 

· organizational skills, including the ability to coordinate activities and resources. 

· Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and exercise discipline to complete tasks independently and in a team

· Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description

· Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target

· Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times

· Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Minimum 4 years of experience in a similarly situated role.

· Strong essential skills, including high emotional intelligence. 

· Strong coordination and project management skills.

· Is curious, agile, engages in new experiences, and open to different perspectives.

Travel Requirements:

· Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time

Physical and Mental Requirements:

· Sedentary - exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to life, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met

· Proven ability to work in-person and in a virtual environment in a global organization and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment
