Job Title: Private Duty Nurse (LPN)

Job Type: In-person

Location: Edmond, El Reno, Harrah, Yukon, Norman, Moore, OK (In-person)

Starting Pay and/or Pay Range: Minimum Salary-$24.00

Job Summary:

Aveanna’s Private Duty nurses assist patients with transitioning home from the hospital and provide the continuous care needed to remain at home with their loved ones. Our nurses are matched to patients based on skill, age, health condition, and acuity level, delivering 1:1 care in shifts ranging from 8 to 16 hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement physicians’ prescribed plan of care
  • Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care
  • Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
  • Provide compliant, timely documentation of care in the system of record
  • Educate and train family members on health promotion
  • Accept and write verbal orders from physicians, obtaining co-signature of Case Manager as required
  • Follow up with physician, client, family members, and Case Manager on patient concerns and condition changes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered LPN or RN license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or BLS
  • TB skin test (current within the last 12 months)
  • Six months of prior hands-on nursing experience (preferred but not required)
  • Reliable transportation

Schedule and Shift Details:

  • Full-time, Part-time, or PRN
  • Flexible scheduling with available shifts during days, nights, and weekends

  • Performs other appropriate duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered license (RN/LPN/LVN) in the state in which the clinician will practice
  • Current CPR certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS
