Job Details Test Engineering Job Title: Sr. Integrated Test Engineer Location: San Jose, CA Zip Code: 95134 Start Date: Right Away Job Type: Contract - 6 months Pay Rate: $70.00 - $80.00 /hr DoE Shift: 8am-4:30pm M-F with some weekend work JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Apply knowledge of electrical components, interiors, systems integration or structural assembly and installation to collaborate and influence our multidisciplinary Product Design Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Facilities teams in the development of a new aircraft. Assist on and off aircraft builds for electrical components, interior closeouts, metallic and composite assemblies, wiring harnesses, and/or composite secondary bonding. Support the Test Aircraft shop floor through Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), red line activities, continuous improvement, and rework/repair instructions. Support implementation of process control plans to ensure process capability. Conduct process failure mode and analysis (PFMEA) for the production system. Support first unit builds, first article inspections (FAI), and testing of the production system. Use your knowledge of industry standard components, and various forms of engineering and technical information (i.e. model based engineering definition, process specifications, wiring & schematic diagrams, etc) to develop the manufacturing Build Plan (line layout, manufacturing work instructions, part flow, tools, equipment, precedence network, testing processes, etc.). Develop specifications for tooling and automated equipment for our Manufacturing Tooling Team to implement. Drive the Design for Manufacturability efforts with our Product Design team. Review engineering design releases for manufacturability, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and complete process requirement definition. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a U.S. Person (Perm Res/Green Card) Bachelor's degree in Engineering. 5+ years as an avionics or electrical systems engineer Flight controls / avionics experience Experience with electrical wire diagrams Systems testing experience (lab setting preferred) Familiarity with aerospace design and verification processes to include; requirements development, functions development, validation and verification for detailed design Strong knowledge of how aircraft systems interface with each other, capability, communication, and connectivity. Experience with CAN FD, Serial Bus, IP Network Concept, or ARINC 664 (AFDX) Must have the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to support systems troubleshooting and system verification. Experience reading and interpreting system architecture and wiring diagrams Experience with model based definition Aerospace production shop floor experience Understanding aircraft safety, tool control, FOD, and industry standards Building and revising test procedures Experience working in a product development environment. Effective organizational and time management skills. Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Google suite. Ability to work in a fast paced and highly regulated environment with adaptability to changing priorities.
