Position Summary:

The  Toddler Teacher  is responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for toddlers. This role includes planning and implementing activities that support early learning, social-emotional development, and self-help skills while ensuring the well-being of each child in the classroom.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage toddlers in daily activities, ensuring a  safe and nurturing environment.
• Develop and implement  age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Maintain a consistent  daily schedule that includes structured learning, playtime, meals, and rest.
• Support toddlers in developing  self-help skills , such as feeding, dressing, and toilet training.
• Foster  positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support each child's development.
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s progress and daily experiences.
• Ensure compliance with  state and local childcare regulations , including health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a  supportive learning environment .
• Commit to  ongoing professional development to enhance teaching strategies and child development knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
• CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience working with  toddlers in a childcare or early learning setting .
• Knowledge of  child development principles and best practices in early education.
• Strong  communication and teamwork skills.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
