Base pay range $85.00/hr - $86.00/hr Job Title: Sr. Advanced Software Engineer - Cloud Location: Scottsdale, AZ 85257 (Hybrid) Duration: 24 Months contract (Potential Temp to Perm) Shift: M-F 6:30am-3:00pm Start Date: Right Away In this role you will be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing a test program to verify system and subsystem requirements. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field plus a minimum of 8 years of job-related experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US citizenship is required. Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Security knowledge: Familiarity with security best practices, risk, compliance & vulnerability management, encryption & PKI, incident response, auditing and monitoring. Cloud platforms: Experience with AWS (AWS Solutions Architect strongly preferred) and its services (including fundamental AWS networking), knowing Azure is a plus. Programming and scripting: Proficiency and strong knowledge in languages such as Python, Linux/UNIX, YAML, and JSON. Containerization: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. Collaboration and communication: Ability to communicate and work effectively with development team members, operations, and security teams. Problem-solving and analytical skills: Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions. Documentation: Well-versed in generating documentation and sharing important knowledge. Artificial Intelligence: Well-versed in prompt engineering and utilizing popular AI tools to accelerate workload.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field plus a minimum of 8 years of job-related experience. Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Understanding of DevOps principles: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, automation, configuration management, and infrastructure as code. Strong understanding of API Design, testing, development, and management. CI/CD tools: Gitlab, Nexus Managed Artifacts. Build/Development: VS Code, Maven. Security, Monitoring and logging: ACAS/Grype vulns scanning, SIEM (Splunk) Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana). Version control: Git. Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation. Event streaming platform (nice to have): Kafka messaging.
