Job Title: Junior Security Analyst

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security alerts from various sources (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM tools).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist with patch management.
• Perform security audits and help to ensure compliance with security standards and policies.
• Assist in the investigation and resolution of security incidents and breaches.
• Support the implementation of security measures to protect sensitive information and systems.
• Help maintain and update security tools, systems, and procedures.
• Generate reports on security findings and assist with presenting information to senior security personnel.
• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
• Assist in risk assessments and the development of mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Basic understanding of information security principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with common security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, antivirus software, IDS/IPS systems).
• Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong desire to learn and grow in the cybersecurity field.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys).
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of scripting or programming languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar.
• Federal Experience is a plus.
