Hunton Services, a division of Hunton Group in Houston, TX, has a new and exciting opportunity for you to join our organization as a Sales Representative. This Sales Representative position directly sells Hunton specialized industrial HVAC equipment solutions and modifications, primarily targeting the industrial and petrochemical sectors. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, as well as nurturing existing relationships within the industrial and petrochemical industries. This role demands a deep understanding of the HVAC industry, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in both private and public sector companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Target Management: Drive the achievement of an annual sales goal of $4,000,000 by closing deals for industrial-engineered HVAC specialty equipment solutions and system modifications.
  • Client Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with owners, contractors, and key decision-makers in the industrial and petrochemical industries.
  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and engage potential clients through networking, cold-calling, and attending industry events.
  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge of HVAC systems and their applications in industrial and petrochemical environments, ensuring clients receive tailored, optimal solutions.
  • Sales Presentations & Proposals: Create and deliver compelling sales presentations and customized proposals, addressing client needs, technical specifications, and budget considerations.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations and close sales deals, ensuring that all client requirements and expectations are met while achieving company profitability goals.
  • Project Management Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery of HVAC solutions.
  • Market Research & Trend Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies in the HVAC and industrial sectors to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Sales Reporting: Regularly track and report on sales activity, performance, opportunity development, and pipeline status to management, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and growth targets.
  • Grow the existing maintenance agreement base by adding new service agreements and maintenance contracts to prospective customers.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of sales and account activity, customer information, and requests
  • Frequent local travel requirements with some overnight travel.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Texas driver's license with a safe driving record (no violations within the past 3 years).
  • Prospective candidate needs to be able to obtain plant entry credentials such as DISA, Safety Council, etc.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in the industrial or HVAC industry, with a strong focus on industrial equipment and solutions.
  • The ideal candidate has hands-on operational experience in an industrial setting, specializing in mechanical (machinery, rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, or mechanical systems), instrumentation (sensors, control systems, process automation, or instrumentation devices), or electrical (power distribution, industrial electrical systems, PLCs, or electrical maintenance) roles.
  • Experience in the petrochemical sector is a plus.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of engineered HVAC and/or process cooling systems, modifications, and their applications within industrial environments. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear value propositions for clients.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals, with strong negotiation skills and the ability to close high-value deals.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the industrial and petrochemical markets, including the unique needs, challenges, and regulatory requirements of these sectors.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders and present technical solutions clearly and confidently.
  • Self-motivated: Strong drive, ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to sales and problem-solving.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field or equivalent experience preferred. Industry certifications are a plus.
