Job Description

Sahadi's in Industry City (Sunset Park, Brooklyn) is looking for seasonal bartender's/server's to join our team. Friday nights are a must. Friday day, Saturdays and Sundays as needed. We also host private events that you will be on call for. Great for school and college students, teachers, and anyone looking for summer work. Job starts in May (training begins before this) and runs through the summer into early fall. Must be available the entire summer. There is potential for continued employment after the summer pending the store/applicant's availability and needs. We are looking for bussers/food runners/bar backs as well as server/bartenders.

We have a live salsa night every Friday in our courtyard and cafe that gets very busy. You must be able to work quickly and efficiently. We are located at 52 35th Street in Industry City, Brooklyn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages
• Interact with and greet customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
• Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations. Note any food allergies.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Present menu and be knowledgeable on what we serve
• Check customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Prep work and side work

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a Bartender, Barback, Server or Busser
• Knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks is needed if you are applying for Bartender/Server
• Private event experience is a plus
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar, cafe and courtyard organized, stocked and clean
• Excellent customer service
• Big smiles
